Meet the Personal Trainer

My name is Silvia, owner of Silviactive.

I am a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer (QCF), Advance Pregnancy and Post-Natal Women’s Wellness Practitioner, and NatalStrength® located in Brighton & Hove.  

I have always been extremely passionate about Health and Fitness, having played football, participated in Athletics Sporting Events, and Kettlebell lifting Competitions, where I was awarded 2 golden medals and 1 silver for Women's Absolute Long Cycle and Women Coefficient Long Cycle. I stopped competing due to an injury, which took a substantial amount of time to heal.

I started training with Silvia in June and it totally changed my life around. In addition to the PT she also provided me with a delicious nutrition plan and I found her enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle really inspiring. I fell pregnant quite early on within our program and Silvia had no problem with adjusting it accordingly and gave me some great advice. I never thought I’d look forward to climbing up the hill to Queens Park at 8 in the morning so much. Not only does she know her stuff, she gets you to work hard but with an element of fun. I have always been very active but since having my 3 children I wanted to return to exercise but felt I needed some support and guidance on how to do it gently and hopefully return to my previous fitness levels.
I met up with Silvia a couple of years ago when my youngest was 2yrs old. I explained what I wanted to achieve. Silvia was very supportive and designed a workout that helped me to become stronger, leaner, and lose the extra baby weight I had gained.
I particularly appreciated the constant support in explaining the reason for and how to perform each exercise. Silvia would correct the position where necessary.
I enjoyed that we worked out in the local park starting from basic exercise to allow my body to get slowly stronger from the deep muscles and then progressing using Tabatha, and HIIT which is my preferred form of exercise. We used bodyweight exercises as well as hand weights, TRX, etc...
The ongoing support has been amazing and I am feeling fitter than ever. The exercise, alongside some valuable nutritional advice, makes it even better and has put me in good stead for a fitter, healthier future.
